Equanimity Holistic Aromatherapy
Project brief
Lucie, the founder of Equanimity Holistic Aromatherapy, sought a website that would exude calm, relaxation and luxury.
The design needed to provide prospective clients with easy access to information, enabling them to book treatments quickly and effortlessly.
The primary goals for the website were to increase treatment bookings and boost gift voucher sales.
Website moodboard
Leveraging Equanimity's high-end brand identity and exceptional photography, I developed a moodboard to guide the website's design:
Wood grain texture – introduced to add depth and an earthy warmth, making the website feel inviting and grounding.
Photography – carefully selected images that align with Equanimity's unique brand identity – calm, spacious, and premium.
Feather motif – incorporated throughout the website to create a harmonious and rhythmic flow, reinforcing the brand's serene essence.
Website design elements
Lucie’s objectives for her website included:
Increasing treatment bookings.
Increasing gift voucher purchases.
I designed the site with a minimalist, user-friendly interface to ensure visitors can find essential information with minimal clicks.
To meet these goals, I implemented the following design elements:
Hero area
The homepage features a serene, high-quality photograph reflective of Equanimity’s calming atmosphere, paired with a clear primary call-to-action button linking directly to the booking page and a secondary call-to-action button to view more details about treatments (services). This immediately engages visitors and directs them towards booking a treatment.
Addressing client pain points with tailored solutions
Below the hero area, the following two sections address the challenges faced by Equanimity's ideal clients and presents tailored solutions.
The services are then clearly presented as three distinct treatment options, making it simple for website visitors to select and book their preferred treatment.
Equanimity’s point of difference
Equanimity’s unique offering is showcased prominently on the homepage, setting it apart from competitors and highlighting the premium service clients can expect. After their treatment, clients are welcome to spend unlimited time in Equanimity's dedicated wellness space. This serene sanctuary enhances the benefits of their treatment, providing a true mini-spa experience.
Social proof
To build trust and credibility, I included a client testimonial on a sage green background, reassuring potential clients of the quality of Equanimity’s services.
About section
In the About section, I highlight what sets Lucie apart from other aromatherapists: her unique background in botany combined with her extensive aromatherapy training. This blend of expertise assures prospective clients that they will be in highly knowledgeable and capable hands.
Gift voucher sales
Equanimity’s secondary goal for the website is to boost gift voucher sales. To achieve this, I've dedicated a section to promoting the gift of relaxation, set against a captivating wood grain texture to draw attention and appeal to potential buyers.
Footer
The footer includes the opening times and full postal address with a map, making it easy for clients to determine when they can book a treatment and how to find the treatment space. A call-to-action contact button and social media icons provide simple ways for clients to get in touch. Additionally, links to the privacy and legal pages are included for easy access.
